Meet Our Team
Nyle Shehzad
Nyle founded Sports Saves in 2025 as a Sophomore at the Pingry School in NJ. Nyle has worked with other national non-profits like LPF, IRD Global Foundation, SKM Cancer Hospital and other local non-profits since middle school. A lifelong soccer player, Nyle was diagnosed in 2023 with Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD), a joint disorder that left him unable to play for months and required knee surgery. After barely making it back on the field, Nyle had another injury that led to a bigger surgery with a longer recovery time. In his recovery time, Nyle realized his privilege with access to training equipment, coaches and doctors who helped him each time. That’s when Sports Saves became more than a project it became a purpose. Nyle saw an opportunity to level the playing field and ensure every young athlete, regardless of circumstance, could experience the life-changing power of sports.
Wali Shehzad
Wali Shehzad co-founded Sports Saves in 2025 with his brother Nyle. A middle school student at The Pingry School in NJ, Wali has played soccer since the age of 6 and aspires to become a professional in the field. He plays for his middle school team as well as one of the top youth MLS clubs in the country. He has coached young kids in soccer for some time, and through this experience discovered the joy in sharing his passion and skills with others. Wali truly believes that the organization can make a big difference in the lives of many young student athletes like him and is very excited about the future Sports Saves holds.
